I’ve been asked a lot on why I think that Anderson Silva will win against Vitor Belfort. To tell you honestly, this is the toughest match up for Anderson Silva ever. You can read Silva vs Belfort reviews online, but all of them are somehow biased towards Vitor Belfort. Here are my reasons why I think Vitor Belfort will lose after all:
First of all, Vitor Belfort is a monster striker, but you should remember that Anderson Silva has a huge reach advantage. If Silva manages to strike him down with his precise leg kicks, it will leave Belfort completely immobile and vulnerable to Muay Thai clinching and ultimately getting kneed to death.
Belfort is a great fighter, but ultimately, Anderson Silva has more weapons in his arsenal. I just don’t see him allowing Belfort to close in. If he does close in, this will be a huge problem for Silva, and he could get K.O-ed.
